is my rap name, when I
was living in Atlanta
Georgia I would do shows
and I always wanted to
keep New York with me
so instead of Nikki, I spell
it Nyckee
NYC my New York City,
and KEE because I am a
huge Yankee’s fan.
Ms. Pac Man is the name
given to me by a local DJ
because I often speak very
fast and it sounds like
wamp, wamp, wamp, wamp.
My Life
Darlin Nyckee (Stormy Brooks) was raised in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx NY,
where she was exposed to nothing but music from her father who was a local DJ.
Surrounded by the streets there was nothing but hip-hop culture around me, from the
block parties, DJ battles in the park, rappers on every corner, “I was exposed to Classic
R&B oldies like Marvin Gaye, and Steve Wonder, to rappers such as Run DMC to the
Fat Boys.” “My parents would take me to all the entertainment events, I met the cast of
fame live, I was Diana Ross perform in the park, I ate hot dogs with Chris Rock all before
I was ten years old.” By the time Nyckee was 10 years old she begin recording Hot 97
radio shows and adlibbing with the personalities.
Nicole “Darlin Nyckee” Darden attended Poughkeepsie, New York’s Dutchess
Community College where she a recipient of the George Bernstein Memorial Scholarship
for Mass Communications, and has earned her Associates degree in Mass
Communications, Radio/TV/Film and Productions, after a long stint of financial
problems at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta Georgia.
The Radio Personality:
Determined to be on the radio and not give up Darlin Nyckee accepted a job with
Cumulus Broadcasting of Florence South Carolina on their number one station WYNN
106.3 where she was the In House Morning Show Producer of the Doug Banks
Morning Show, and also a part time On Air Personality of her show which she entitled
“Talk Slick Radio.” “I decided to name the show talk slick because in the South they
always say you New Yorkers talk slick, and that is what I was doing.” Nyckee show
consisted of her talking about the hottest topics, advice hour, and just fun lively radio.
Unfortunately Nyckee was laid off due to budget cuts after six months of being on the
job, “That is the radios business if you never get fired then you are doing something

2. wrong.” “As long as I was willing to just up and move for this then I have no regrets.”
Determined not to quit Nyckee keeping up on her grind.
Darlin Nyckee the Poet:
Darlin Nyckee a.k.a Ms. Pac Man has had her hand in many parts of the entertainment
industry. She is a poet, who has been featured as an opening act for Comedian Talent,
True Fella entertainment, and has been the featured poet at the Cubby Whole Coffee
House. Nyckee has come in first place at the Word is Life Poetry Slam and other famous
poetry gathering. She writes poems to inspire, poetry on every day issues, and her twisted
views of the world.
The Writer:
As an up and coming author Nyckee is a published writer, who has a monthly column on
Aphrodisiacs in Hush magazine. She also has many book titles in the works ranging from
poetry, fiction, and children’s books, and would like to enhance her career in writing.
The Television Host:
Currently the host of TV show “The Heart of the City” Nyckee has got to interview
celebrities like the Clipse, Shabba Ranks, Darren Henson, The Lox, Little Jon and the
Eastside Boys, and a host of others. The show is based on going to the heart of any city
having an event and bringing it back to the Poughkeepsie area and it also gives college
students in this field a chance to gain some experience.
The Model:
Darlin Nyckee is also a model with Blue Ice Entertainment Modeling Agency, where she
has modeled for many designers such as, Michi, Pat Brown, and a host of others; she also
was one of the finalists in the Miss Tropical Island Paradise Beauty Pageant
Currently Darlin Nyckee is the host of Blueprint Radio, which is an old school hip-hop
show on the independent radio station WVKR 91.3. Through WVKR, she has to
experience aspects in radio from on-air talent, to productions and programming. She also
has been able to show her versatility in the field of radio by producing quiet storm shows,
morning shows, and shows with different genres of music. She also has owns a small
business called “Fairy God Mother” Event Planning, Catering, Exotic Desserts, and
Motivational Speaking on Mind, Confidence and Prosperity.
Next up for Darlin Nyckee is to land another position in radio “I don’t care if it is in
Africa, I’ll take it that is how dedicated I am.” She is also working on started her
Promotions and Public Relations business, getting her book entitled “Emotionless”
published, and getting her self known world wide.
