3. • I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.
When it was time for college, I chose to attend Clark
Atlanta University where I majored in English Literature.
• When I graduated from Clark Atlanta University, I worked
in the magazine publishing field, as a writer and editor. I
absolutely loved writing.
• I got married in 1999 and now I am the proud mother of a
10 year-old son and 4 year-old daughter.
4. • In 2004, I began teaching high school English at Forest
Park High School.
• I have taught every grade level except 12th grade.
• I have also served as the newspaper and yearbook
sponsor.
5. • I have always been intrigued with libraries and what
librarians have to do.
• I also have a real love for reading and a knack for
researching, so becoming a school librarian seemed to
be the perfect fit for me.
• I look forward to continuing to work with students and to
share my love for reading and information with a student
body.
