Currently, he is the director and architectural designer of his own firm, NJ Rayner and Associates Limited, located in Auckland and Christchurch. Previously he has worked in roles such as joiner, architectural technician, graphic interpreter, real estate salesperson, and architectural office junior. He has strong computer skills including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office. In his spare time he has also done voluntary work for Arthritis New Zealand and the New Zealand parliament National Party.
