3. Parable of the Sower
“One day there was a farmer who went
out to plant seeds which he scattered on
the ground.”
4. “Some seeds fell on a path where people
walked on them and the birds ate them
up. Some seeds fell on rocky places and
the plants that grew eventually dried up
because they had no water.”
5. “Other seeds fell among thorns that made
the plants wither. Some seeds fell on
good soil, which produced good crops that
multiplied a hundred times more than
what the farmer had planted.”
6. “The seed is God’s message. Seeds that
fell on a path are like people who hear
God’s messages. But when trials and
temptations come, they start losing faith
in God. Seeds on the rocks are like people
who heard the God’s message and were
happy.
7. “But since they have no roots, they just
believe for a awhile and thorns represent
those who heard the message but died
upon being saddled with worries, riches
and pleasures so they do not reach their
full growth and potentials.”
8. Jesus then explained about the seeds
that fell on good soil – those who have
good hearts.
“They keep God’s word in their hearts.”
These are the people who nurture God’s
love every day.
