2. What is Personal Privacy
First, before I can start the project we have to define Personal privacy.
Personal Privacy: is the state of being free from public attention.
3. About Privacy
Some of the places that you used to have privacy is in your house away from people
and out in the woods. But now days it is getting harder and harder to achieve personal
privacy. One of the ways it is getting harder to achieving personal privacy is because of
our electronics. Every time you log on to your computer or go onto the internet you
are leaving a digital footprint. But what is a digital footprint? A digital footprint is a
trail of data left behind which groups of advertisers and the public can access to
specifically target you.
4. How to Achieve Privacy over the Internet
In my opinion the only way to have complete privacy is to have no internet compatible
devices and no credit cards and to live out in the country away from people. That is
taking things to the extreme but there are many ways to maintain a decent amount of
personal privacy without having to change much. Some of the ways you can increase
the amount of privacy you have is to not use public access internet, limit the number
of your social media accounts and watch what websites you give your email and
personal information to. Those are some simple ways to increase your privacy when
you are using the internet.
5. How to Achieve Privacy
When you are not using the internet there many ways to have some more privacy.
Firstly, when you are: not home, changing, and sleeping close your blinds
that way people can not see into your house. Secondly lock your doors.
Another way to increase your privacy is to not share your personal
information or credit card information with phone solicitors. Also, be aware
of who is around when you are having personal phone calls in public.
Be conscientious about the information you share so that private information
isn’t spread around the school or office. This could be vacation details, debit
card PIN, passwords and where your house key is hidden.
