the components are separated to
recover valuable materials such as

Hydrometallurgical processing:
The metals are dissolved in an aqueous
solution using a chemical reagent,

Thermal treatment:
The plastics and electrolytes are

'Black mass' is the industry term used to describe a type of e-waste comprising
crushed and shredded EoL battery cells. It contains mixtures of valuable metals
