1. About Belief
A belief is an assumed truth. Hence everything is a belief -- including this statement.
Belief is what that you don’t know about. If you know than there is no reason to believe.
Truth needs no believers. Let me remind you: truth needs no believers. The sun rises in the
morning -- you don't believe in it, do you? Nobody asks anybody, "Do you believe in the sun.
Once you find to know it, experience it, than no need to believe on anymore, because you
know it now.
Knowing is death of belief. We can only believe on that we don’t know about.
Belief is ignorance. And it is good that if you don’t know. Belief can deceive you by create
illusion within your mind. Without knowing you start thinking that you know and more
strongly you think you know, more you are afraid of doubt. And that stops your inquiry, urge
of finding. That is why believer can’t be innovative, scientist or researcher. See around the
world country or religion, a community having strong belief system, the never invented new
thing. Because they there believer mind stopped queries, no doubt arises, so no further
findings started. Beliefs is formed in past, so all belief are past oriented. Belief is ash.
Faith to a religion is just a belief. If you are a Hindu, Muslims, or a Christian mean you have
Hindu Belief or a Muslim belief. Religion is just a synonym of a belief, nothing else. It’s a
repressed doubt. More strongly you believe, more you repressed your doubt. Your doubt will
go dipper and dipper.
We create beliefs to anchor our understanding of the world around us and so, once we have
formed a belief, we will tend to persevere with that belief. Like a women, once she conceive
that become part of her, not foreign any more. Now the child not something added but as a
part of her. The same way the belief becomes our part and we cultivate to grow further, but
within constraint, self-imposed boundary.
When asked who are you? You can reply I am John, but this is just your name, can be
different. May you can say a computer engineer, but that what you do, is your work, but the
question remain as it is. WHO ARE YOU? May be you can reply I am Christen, Hindu or
Muslim. But you are belonging to a religion but you are not that. That all bunches of
thoughts, idea form an identity, form you, your belief, your ego.
Unfortunately we like to be something because we scared to be NOTHING. Our ego can
survive only on that basis that I am something. but all our identities are our false
assumptions.
Unknowingly eventually that identification becomes our reality, our self-appose boundaries.
Than we tend to protect and to make safe our boundaries our limitation. If someone
interferes to showing our reality, breaks our belief, our identity, we think it is against us. The
ego always convinces and leads us be believe that I am that. Older we are, stronger our ego
will be. Eventually we trap into a false imaginary belief or self-form ego.
When belief becomes part of you, we never doubt on that. Belief is the psychological
state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true. If one can only
see things according to one's own belief system, one becomes virtually deaf, dumb, and
blind. Than unable to see the fact, the reality, the truth. He can only see what he likes to see.
2. If he has red glass he can see everything in red, if green than sees green. Further he leaves
with it that become his experience too, and the make his believe stronger and dipper.
Unable to see the reality if you judge thru your believe or non-belief. Your right and wrong
depend on conditions. One thing is right for you, but may be wrong to other. To be aware
consciously of all this, you must be free, open, in the state of choicelessness.
A belief is the mental aptitude that comes from the past. Belief or non-belief and are part
of a same coin and there are no differences between both. One person believes on god and
other one not believes in god. But in reality both mind are believes on something which they
don’t know about. Based on accumulation of the past we tent to preserve some way or
another to support our belief.
If you are judging, justifying based on your belief, your experience and knowledge and keep
the belief intact then you are only partially aware of that. And partial awareness is a guess,
imagination, really blindness.
Belief arises only for fictions, for lies, not for truth. Every belief system is a hindrance for
spirituality. Spirituality may support your wellbeing and recovery but only to your mental
level. One spiritual process give relief to one type of mind but other spiritual process may
disturbs. Spiritual process only for who believes in that. Religion is nothing but more
structured belief system, involving emotion morality and sense of identity and community.
We will tend to perceive things according to our beliefs more than as they really are.
