represented India at Olympics at various events.
Also to study about the challenges they faced in
their respective field and the steps that can be
taken to encourage Indian youth to participate in
international sports.
OBJECTIVE
Discussing this topic with our group we got to know that how Indian
athletes did hard work to achieve their goals.

opportunities at root level to achieve their dreams. Even there was
parents expectations and society pressure that hindered their
pathway.
But as it is being said that hard work and will power is the most
important thing to achieve anything in this world. To make your
dreams true first of all you should believe in it.
By surveying on Internet and studying some newspapers we collected

India has ever produced and is often called the
“Queen of Indian track and field".
ROLE IN OLYMPICS
Debut in Olympics : 1980 Moscow Olympics
proved lackluster.
At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, she finished
first in the semi-finals of the 400 meters
hurdles, but narrowly missed a medal in the
finals.

services to the nation through
her consistent and determined

award in the year 1985.
Apart from it, the Indian
Olympic Association (IOA)

the Century and the Sports
Woman of the Millennium.
HOW TO ENCOURAGE INDIAN
YOUTH
1) HAVE A PASSION
People are used to do the things in a sluggish manner...or can be said in other words
that were lacking the passion about the sports, the sports is not considered as
serious matter, by our parents, teachers, & by all around society. Sports should be
considered as the serious matter.
2) NO POLITICS
That's very essential point. In any of sports , the talents should be amplified, No
marathi, no tamil, no bengali...we're indian...
Real deserving person should be motivated and given a chance to represent himself
of herself. There should be no corruption involved in this matter otherwise it will
harm our country only, it will lack the real talent required by our country to
represent at international level.
3) RESOURCES MUST BE ENOUGH
We people used to the Let it go like behavior. that should be avoided as much as
possible. Sports persons must be provided enough resources. Infrastructure should
be updated according 2 the international standards.
Best facilities are required for producing a best
sportsman. The Government should come forward to
build good avenues for the development of sports and
games in our country.
The funds allotted to the sports ministry in various
States and the Union Government is always merge. The
Governments do not feel it necessary or important to
provide adequate funds for sports. Even the funds
allotted are seldom spent properly.
The Sports Authorities in many states are mere
ornamental organizations. They should be filled with
people who have adequate knowledge of sports and
interest to promote sports.
CONCLUSION
After looking and discussing about all these great athletes we got know
that how they were pushed back from achieving their goals by various
difficulties they faced.
But Problems and difficulties faced by these athletes couldn't broke
down their steel like confidence and determination towards their
dream.
Their hard work and devotion towards their dream aid them to reach
the glory of success. All of them came out with flying colors in their
lives.
All of the athletes presented India in international level and made our
country proud, and to enhance and motivate them further government
of India Awarded them with many of the award and prizes.
All is to see that hard work and will power is the key to success.
ADVICES
India’s youth need lot of encouragement to achieve excellence in
sports, firstly from the parents, secondly from the educational
institutions, thirdly from the sponsor and the last but not the least
from the provincial and the central Governments.
Parents should motivate their child to achieve his or her goals as it
plays an important role at a root level in a child life.
Our government should focus more on importance of games in
students lives by organizing various competitions and help the
deserving sportspersons to move forward and represent our country
at national and international grounds.
Government sports plans should reach even in the remote corners of
our country so that people in villages and small towns also got a chance
to participate in them and come forward. Government should also
sponsor for travelling and other expenses of players representing our
country.

HOW TO ENCOURAGE INDIAN YOUTH 1) HAVE A PASSION People are used to do the things in a sluggish manner...or can be said in other words that were lacking the passion about the sports, the sports is not considered as serious matter, by our parents, teachers, & by all around society. Sports should be considered as the serious matter. 2) NO POLITICS That's very essential point. In any of sports , the talents should be amplified, No marathi, no tamil, no bengali...we're indian... Real deserving person should be motivated and given a chance to represent himself of herself. There should be no corruption involved in this matter otherwise it will harm our country only, it will lack the real talent required by our country to represent at international level. 3) RESOURCES MUST BE ENOUGH We people used to the Let it go like behavior. that should be avoided as much as possible. Sports persons must be provided enough resources. Infrastructure should be updated according 2 the international standards.

The funds allotted to the sports ministry in various States and the Union Government is always merge. The Governments do not feel it necessary or important to provide adequate funds for sports. Even the funds allotted are seldom spent properly. The Sports Authorities in many states are mere ornamental organizations. They should be filled with people who have adequate knowledge of sports and interest to promote sports.

ADVICES India’s youth need lot of encouragement to achieve excellence in sports, firstly from the parents, secondly from the educational institutions, thirdly from the sponsor and the last but not the least from the provincial and the central Governments. Parents should motivate their child to achieve his or her goals as it plays an important role at a root level in a child life. Our government should focus more on importance of games in students lives by organizing various competitions and help the deserving sportspersons to move forward and represent our country at national and international grounds. Government sports plans should reach even in the remote corners of our country so that people in villages and small towns also got a chance to participate in them and come forward. Government should also sponsor for travelling and other expenses of players representing our country.
