• Product Development: Collaborate with designers and production staffs on style, fit, and revision of new and existing lines;
develop seasonal garment specs; supervise fittings with live models and designers, making and approving corrections as
necessary. Prepare detailed spec sheets and transmit to vendors. Create first, duplicate, and production patterns from original
designs, merchandiser's sketches, photographs, and original garments; supervise sample makers.
• Production: Measure and review production (fit, size, and construction), for sales, pre-, and top-of-production samples.
Develop seasonal specifications, revise and maintain specs, and track line sheets. Worked with Directors of Manufacturing to
engineer garment construction; approved graded sets. Estimated fabric yield to ensure maximum usage.
• Sample Development: Measure and evaluate samples submitted to private label customers for review. Issue inspection
certificates (I/Cs) after verifying that all testing and sampling had been successfully completed and met the criteria of the
respective customer.
• Private Label: Coordinated and maintained records for private label customer’s sample and testing requirements.
Communicated information to vendors, agents, and Perry Ellis sourcing and design departments.
▪ Quality Assurance: Work closely with designers to ensure consistent quality standards are met by all suppliers to maintain fit,
construction, and workmanship standards that meet customer and department standards. Perform quality control inspections
of random production samples to ensure adherence to specs, including construction, tagging, pressing, fit, and presentation.
Communicated with all internal departments, overseas offices, and vendors to proactively address quality issues.
• Documentation: Established the legal department documentation protocol and provided the necessary lab reports to verify
that all special claims/call-outs passed required testing for sales and legal departments. Key member of project management
