2. COMPUTER VIRUS
Computer virus is a program that disturbs the normal working of
a computer without the permission of the user. It attaches itself
to the files stored on computer and damages them.
Damages to computer.
Damage data or software.
Can format drive.
Detect passwords.
Display false images.

3. HOW VIRUS SPREADS?
Email: An email may contain a virus. Virus spreads if user
opens or download an email containing infected file.
Removable Storage Media :like USB and CDs may spread virus
e.g downloading an infected file from internet.
Network: If a network contains virus then every computer
connecting to that network may receive virus e.g downloading
downloading an infected file from internet.

The boot sector is the first sector of disk where boot
program is stored.The boot program loads operating
system into memory.It affects the booting process of an
infected computer system.

 It executes illegal and destructive instruction in the

A type of software that is used to detect and remove viruses
from computer is called software.
Antivirus contains information about many known viruses.
It also prevents new viruses to enter into computer.
Antivirus program runs in the Random Accesses Memory of
va compter.
Examples: Norton Antivirus, Kaspersky, McAfee,Hijackers, AVG,
NOD32 ,etc
