To work with an organisation which provides me opportunities to apply and further develop my skills in
the field of Microbiology which could be helpful for development of organization and for my professional
career.
SYNOPSIS
 Working as Project Associate in TERI, EIBD division in Research project funded byCentre
for High Technology and Department of Biotechnology research.The main objective is to
study biohydrogen production from renewable sources using dark and photo fermentative
bacteria.Integrating dark fermentation effluent using Photofermentation process
 Experince in microbiological techniques and laboratories
 Experience in Quality control in brewing industry (beer), anaerobic hydrogen production, and
waste water analysis.(Physico chemical and biological).
 Extensive experience in chemical and biochemical analysis/characterization/estimation of
waste water
 Hands on experience in Gas Chromatography (Agilent 7890A), Fermenter(Bioengineering,
New Brunswick) .
 Hands on experience in handling HPLC (Agilent series) for estimation of sugars.
 Quantification of biogas production by using Gas flow meter (Ritter)
 Anaerobic culture of media preparation for growth of bacteria inGas manifold sparging
instrument using Nitrogen /Argon gas to maintain anaerobic.
 Microbiological manitanence,media preparation,Good Microbiology lab practises
 Two publication in international peer reviewed journals.
 Two poster presentation at National conferences,Association of Microbiologist of India
 M.ScMicrobiology,Sourasthra College, affiliated to Madurai Kamraj University

 Actively involved in up scaling our biohydrogen maximum of 1000litre
 Apart from my project work, carried out some research experiments which helped to
publish in international journal and to attend national conference.

 To carry lab scale and proto scale fermenter study for biohydrogen fermentation
(anaerobic) from Molasses and other renewable sources
 Enrichment ,isolation of hydrogen producing microorganism
 Mother culture maintenance, andsub culturing, storage for further studies.
 Head space gas analysis using Gas Chromatography (Agilent 7890) and to study
metabolites profile.
 Media preparation, process condition optimization for anaerobic fermentation
 Up scaling to maximum 1000litre batch fermentation from ascending order of lab
scale,10litre,30 litre,100 litre. The batch fermentation studies were performed, Bioreactor
(Bioengineering ,Switzerland).
 Data compilation from the work done and helping in report preparation.
 Litreature study and help in paper writing of research achievements in peer reviewd
