Volunteer Tutors
Our free services provides qualified tutors
that have the knowledge and skills in
education and business, working with
learners of different ages from elementary
to adult level. Teaching different age groups
give these tutors the ability to alter their
teaching plans to adapt to all learning styles
and abilities. They not only possess such
qualifications, they also demonstrate
positive characteristics that are pertinent for
this tutoring program:
1.Enthusiasm,
2.Reliability,
3.An open mind,
4.Empathy, and
5.An even disposition.
The tutors communicate and work diligently
as a team to accomplish most or all of the
objectives and to create a safe learning
environment using classroom management
and techniques to motivate and meet
learners’ needs. They use outside
resources (e.g., reading books, grammar
books, etc.) that assist them with their
tutoring methods, and conduct “formative”
assessments to assist learners the best way
possible with their specific subject area(s).
Formative assessments that are aligned
with the objectives are given through
reflection questions to extend learning
and thinking capacity to make learning more
meaningful and to help solve problems in
learners’ subject area(s).
The more we reach out and give, the more
they will receive, strive, and succeed.
