Mission Statement
Mission Statement 
Content is a valuable asset if it helps customers 
achieve their goals. The Content Collaboration 
Council helps different groups within 
my_company cooperate to share content-related 
resources and processes, avoid 
duplication of effort, and ensure our 
customers’ goals are supported by the content 
we publish.
Content Issue: Localization 
How can we create a semi-automated process 
for localizing assets such as Getting Started, 
Knowledge articles, or Training content ?
Content Issue: Curation 
How can we get better at removing old content? 
How can we better manage updating videos? 
Do we need to demonstrate the costs of not 
removing out-of-date content?
Content Issue: Silos 
Information silos confuse customers and hide 
content. A powerful search engine can unite 
disparate sites using relevancy, federated 
indexing, taxonomy, and pan-network 
analytics. 
A common CCMS might also help us remove 
silos from within?
Content Issue: Duplication 
Getting started, quickstart information, 
prescriptive content, and other content is 
being developed by different groups without 
much conversation. Are we duplicating effort? 
Can we work smarter? 
Code samples and other content is shared 
regularly between groups, but authoring in 
different tools makes sharing hard.
