Ancient World Cereal Project
Task: You are going to design a cereal with a theme of one of the ancient cultures we have studied. You will
need a cereal box and will cover it with information about your culture of choice. You will also need a name
and a slogan for your cereal. You will work INDIVIDUALLY. This is not a group project. You must bring in a
real cereal box to use as the base for your project. The format for the cereal should be as follows:
Front- Name, Slogan, picture (can include a character of your creation)
Back- A game that relates to the civilization
One side- A mini- biography of a specific person from that culture
Other side- Ten “Fun Facts” about the civilization that you chose
You may also include other ideas if you would like (a special toy inside, etc.), but the previous four
components MUST be included.
Complete the following:
1. Circle one civilization to focus on:
China India Egypt Greece (Athens or Sparta) Rome
2. Name your cereal (the name should reflect something about the civilization)

2. 5. Who will you write your mini-biography on? ___________________________________________________
You may hand-write or print any parts to this project, but remember it must be neat and
attractive. Nobody would buy an ugly cereal box, would they? Make it into something people
would want to purchase!
