Lubricant Sales Engineer (January, 2012 to Present)
Duties: To grow Totals’ market share in Lubricants and JET-A1 fuel. Provide technical support to
our customers by ensuring optimum usage of lubricants and develop a distributor network for
Total branded products.
Territory Sales Coordinator-Southern (June, 2011 to December 2011)
Duties : Prospecting and maintaining of business in order to achieve the set sales Budget for
petroleum products. Follow up consumer market trends and activities. Quality assurance
monitoring. Follow up product handling and storage at customer premises and contamination
control.
Konkola Copper Mines Plc
Head Buyer Bulk-Strategic Sourcing Cell (September, 2009 to June 2011)
Duties : Procurement of Bulk commodities across all Integrated Business Units (IBUs) and
develop procurement plan based on consumption patterns and plant upgrades. Expediting the
receipt of key raw materials by traveling to suppliers plants and ensuring timely loading and
clearing of goods. Develop a solid vendor base. Processing contracts for disposal of scrap
material across all KCM units.
Head Bulk Commodities (April, 2009 -August, 2009)
Duties : Prepare budget as well as develop procurement plan for bulk commodities (annual
spend approximately US$ 115 million). Supervise buyers to insure that Business plan is adhered to
in terms of spend through negotiating and timely procurement of commodities. Present a monthly
report to management on performance of bulk department in terms Of Inventory management,
orders raised and performance against budget.
Commercial Officer (October, 2005-March, 2009)
Duties : Involved for the procurement of bulk commodities for the mines.
Send out request for quotations, carry out adjudication, negotiations and prepared contracts for
bulk items as well as manage them (involving raising orders for the same in Ellipse). Apart from
providing input for the annual budget on bulk items I have also been involved in preparing and
presenting the inventory report on a monthly basis. Been responsible for sourcing and purchasing
critical bulk items both locally and abroad to ensure operations are not affected. On occasion
have traveled to potential source to assess and negotiate agreements.
Senior Assistant Engineer -S.A.E (July, 2005-October, 2005)
Duties : Assisted the Section Engineer. I have worked in the Open Pit field Services on the 3.3
KV fed Shovels (excavators) and Drills as well as power distribution within the pit. Jobs included
on site maintenance and repair of machinery. Was exposed to the operations of the various plants
at Nkana Smelter
Pronet Zambia (January, 2005- May, 2005)
Field Services Engineer
Duties: Installation and maintenance of VSATs, Uninterruptible Power Supply technology and
setting up LANs and WANs. Carried out site visits and prepared Bill of Quantities in response to
tenders.
