• difficulty to re-activate the injured muscle
• ”high activity” short head – stiff, pain
• specific training of the long head

• location SM – close to ischial tuberosity
• proximal free tendon often involved
• extended rehabilitation period of time
• red flag, passive stretching & heavy weight training
