I have tried to briefly explain the different applications of telemedicine in healthcare. and showcase some of the care providers and explain how they do in this field. and also identified some of the hardware equipment related with telehealth.

7. Telemedicine Or TeleHealth
Telemedicine is the use of medical information exchanged from one site to another via electronic
communications to improve patients' health status.
Closely associated with telemedicine is the term "telehealth," which is often used to encompass a
broader definition of remote healthcare that does not always involve clinical services.
Telehealth encompasses Videoconferencing, still-images transmission, e-health—including
patient portals, remote monitoring of vital signs, continuing medical education and nursing call
centers are all considered part of telemedicine and telehealth.
A telemedicine consultation service occurs when a provider cares for a patient, or advises another
medical provider, when the patient and the provider are in different geographic locations.
The provider communicates with patients and/or providers at a different location utilizing a variety of
communication tools to exchange necessary medical information.

9. E-Visit Definition
E-Visits broadly defined are electronic exchanges between a medical provider and their
patients for delivery of health-care. This has taken many forms during it's evolution from
secure e-mail or messaging between provider and patient to electronic communications
via a secure portal from a provider's website. Typically the standard of e-Visit
encompasses a patient submitting a medical concern and the provider securely relaying
medical advice and or care via prescribing medication/therapy online.
