A patient presented with dyspnea and suspected heart failure. Initial clinical examination, electrocardiogram, and baseline blood tests did not provide a clear diagnosis. A chest x-ray and echocardiogram also did not confirm the diagnosis. Measurement of pro-BNP levels found them to be over 400 ng/L, indicating likely heart failure. The heart failure diagnosis was then confirmed.
