Day/Topic     Day Two – The Foundations of Government


 Objectives          SWBAT identify the value in being an active citizen in
                     government.
                     SWBAT explain the importance of government and why we
                     study government.
                     SWBAT identify nondemocratic and democratic governments.
                     SWBAT interpret the Declaration of Independence in their
                     words.
Competencies   Student will demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of
               Government and the roots and ideals of the US Constitution.
