7. My name is Molly Jones, and I am a junior Marketing Major in the
Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. I am a creative and
detail-oriented person who loves to interact with people and enjoys the
challenge of solving a variety of problems. During 2016, I indulged my
creative appetite by holding the position of Publicity Chair for my sorority,
Chi Omega, while serving as the creative director of all marketing material
for the largest greek-sponsored philanthropy event on campus: Songfest.
This upcoming year, I am serving as the executive chair of Songfest where
I will oversee the 10 person leadership team and all details of the event.
My professional experience is varied. Over the past two summers I have
worked as a counselor at a christian sports camp called Camp Ozark,
interned with high-fashion shoe designer Joyce Echols, and interned with
Living Water International- an established non-profit that drills water wells
in developing countries all across the world. These diverse jobs helped
me realize that as long as my career requires creativity and meaningful
teamwork, I will be professionally satisfied in almost any industry. I am
so excited to dive into marketing- an area of business that has always
seemed right up my alley.

This 67-page, semester-long project was my proudest achievement of my Advertising & Creative
Marketing Communications class. The Project was to create a competitive Advertising Campaign
for Papa John’s that was as creative, professional, and completely researched as possible. Each
group was required to come up with our own Advertising Agency name, identity, logo, and design
for deliverables. We named our agency “Fresh Paint,” which allowed me to incorporate details of
paint onto the pages of our research & advertising plan booklet. Our grroup worked well together,
and I especially enjoyed letting my imagination run free as we created our proposals for a Papa
John’s Advertising Campaign. At the conclusion of the class, we gave presentations in front of
our class, A&M Marketing staff, and some Papa John’s employees.
I functioned as the group’s content designer, which meant that I was in charge of creating the
physical deliverables you see on these pages. It was a great learning experience, as I got to
incorporate Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills all into one semester of learning.

As a part of our semester-long Marketing Graphic Design project, I designed various professional
business deliverables for a fictional company. The company I created was a corporate branding
and web-design firm. I created business cards, a website-concept design, and many other
deliverables, as well as the actual logo and several variations.

Songfest is a variety show and competition that takes place on Texas A&M’s campus once
a year. It is my sorority’s phianthropy event and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for
about 30 phianthropies. As the Publicity Chair of Songfest in 2016, I created various pieces of
marketing to help us sell over 7,000 tickets and create a buzz around campus for what we
affectionately call “Songfest Season.” These are my designs.

We sold almost 4,000 shirts this year to help raise money for the philanthropies and event costs.
25. In order to meet the needs of a modern consumer, I created Songfest’s first website. My goals
were that it would accomodate ticket sales, T-shirt sales, secure on-line donations, and to
provide information about everything Songfest related. It is one of my proudest additions to
our philanthropy. We were especially excited to include a webpage dedicated to the amazing 27
philnathropies that Songfest benefitted in 2016.
