INTRODUCTION
• Different kinds of behavior that Practiced by selected
Junior high School students in Pooni-lomabao
Memorial National High School.
• School and classroom situation differ in many ways.
The Behavior of the students in school have Nonverbal
Positive Behavior and Nonverbal Negative behavior
that they also Practiced some of it.
• The most commonly reported school/classroom
Nonverbal behaviors are absenteeism, cutting classes
and coming to classes late.
• School problematic behavior originated from the
concept of Leslie A. Scott. He said that “Problematic
behavior in school can be harmful to the individual
student if it interferes with learning , decreases the
chance or graduating, or reduces the likelihood of
entering or completing post-high school education.
Problematic behavior is also harmful to teachers and
students if it interrupts instruction and the normal
functioning of classrooms. Last, Problematic behavior
is harmful to school if it creates an atmosphere of
discomfort or fear or if administrators spend
disproportionate amounts of time dealing with
discipline problems.”
• Thus, the researcher decided to conduct a study
regarding Nonverbal behavior as practiced by selected
Junior high School students in PLMNHS. Findings will
become basis of developing a guidance plan which will
address the determined what was the cause by doing
Nonverbal behavior.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS OR HYPOTHESIS
1. What are the respondent profile in terms of:
•1.1 Age
•1.2 Grade Level
•1.3 Gender
•1.4. Grade Point Average
•1.5 Types of personality possessed
2. What are the common Nonverbal behavior
practiced of the Student?
• 2.1 Positive behavior
• 2.2 Negative behavior
3. What are the implication of Nonverbal
behavior can drawn?
METHODS
• The researchers use descriptive research
design. It allows to use questionnaire in order
to gather data from the respondents.
•This study was conducted in Pooni-lomabao
Memorial National High School. Gata, Poona-
bayabao Lanao del sur.
•The respondents of the study was selected
Junior high school students in Pooni-lomabao
Memorial National High School.
•The researchers was to use Stratified Sampling
Procedure in order to get the population.
•In this study the researchers used
Questionnaire to gather data from the
respondents.
•The Questionnaire had two part, Part I is the
demographic profile of the respondents and the
part II is the Nonverbal behavior indicates.
•Questionnaire will distribute to them but before
that we ask permission first to the respondent.
•In secondary sources researcher read an
articles, books and website to gather an
information which are relevant to the study.
• The following formula will be used. The simple percentage and the
weighted mean that will be used to determine the respondent profile and
the Nonverbal behavior that practiced by selected Junior high school.
Formula:
P=f/N x 100Where:
P= Percentage
F= Frequency
N= Total number of cases
1000= constantWeighted mean
Formula:X=

DISCUSSION
1. Majority of the respondents ranging their age under
the age bracket 13-15 years old.
2. Majority of the respondents are grade 7 with 26.60%.
3. Majority of the respondents are female with 68.81%
4. Most of the grade point average of the respondents
are under 81-95.
5. Most of the respondents personality possessed is
openness to experience.
6. Most of the behavior that practiced by selected junior
high students are attending every class in positive and
doing assignments in class in negative with an
interpretation in the scaling provided.
CONCLUSION
• The result of this study lead the researcher to an
important conclusion most of the respondents are in
13-15 years old. The researchers concluded that age
does matter in academic performance.
• As what today’s generation situated female surpassed
males in term of their number in the society as one of
the proofs of this Junior high students in PLMNHS have
a great number of Female. The researcher concluded
that the highest frequency of the respondent were
female.
• This indicate that majority of the respondents have
the average grade between 81 to 95 with the
frequency 75 (68.81%). It shows that most of the
respondents have a passing grades.
• The result of the study shows that most of the
students in Pooni-lomabao Memorial National High
School are attending every class which are good for
the environment of the school, while in the negative
behavior, some of the students are doing thier
assignments in the class in order for them to be fully
understand the assignment through getting the ideas
of others.
