Immigration rules, Different kind of people facing issues and
obstacles
Now the immigrating rules tighten by the recent government, a lot of people facing so many obstacles and it also
ruining their career and not also career but also their families are facing consequences. Here are some stories of
victims that are facing consequences.
International Student Ketsuda Phoutinane,Freelance Journalist and Hangry US expert
Ketsuda facing the same problem like everyone else. She finished her two british degree with a loan of
£70,000.For non EU students , they will be banned from working during their studies and also they will have to
leave the country as soon as the courses end. Ketsuda believed she is an American cash cow to be put to
pasture. She moved from the Midwest of America at the age of 18 for her undergraduate degree. She got two
degrees from UK. Furthermore, her connections and education , along with her friends and even boyfriend are
British. She can't see a future , if she doesn't find a job in two months .It's terrifies her and lost all the sleeps at
night. She stated that , "the new rules rest on the claim that foreign students abuse the system and leech on
hardworking taxpayers. What abuse? It ignores the truth that non-EU students need to be relatively well off to
study here. One of the many requirements for my visa included having £10k resting in my bank account for 12
weeks. I then paid twice as much as my British classmates for tuition at £18,000 a year". Also she found out more
insulting that , Immigration Minister statement , "Immigration offenders want to sell illegal access to the UK jobs
market and there are plenty of people willing to buy" .Her reaction was, I'm not a criminal. I'm educated and want
to work. Having just graduated with a second MA, I have to find an employer that will pay at least £20,500 yearly
and sponsor a work visa - a long, complicated legal process that costs thousands no matter if the visa is
successful or not."It is really shame for a polite country like that and this is happening to the country , where the
systems are totally opposite. So many people are getting hurt at the moment .In her words , "The government is
doing everything it can to push thousands of highly skilled and hardworking young people out. What's a foreign
graduate to do? I seethe with every continuous restriction, but once my rage haze clears, I'm hurt. I have loved
living here for the last five years. My life is here. There is no good reason for me to leave "Here is the link of her

UK university and College facing Obstacles
A study has found that , in nearly three decades for fist
time there is significant drop in number of international
students coming to UK. International University and
College union warned the GOV that many international
students are choosing to countries where they are more
welcome. In 2014, the international students dropped by
15 which is 1,000 students , compared to double digit
growth in previous year. Sally Hunt ,UCU general
secretary said , "International students make a huge contribution to academic and cultural life on campuses and
in our cities. They also make a valuable contribution to our economy. As we face continued uncertainty about the
future of funding for our universities, the Government should be doing more to encourage foreign students.
Ministers need to recognise that attempts to sound tough on immigration at home are also reported elsewhere
and it is not surprising if students consider studying in the countries that make an effort to welcome
them."Furthermore, Chief Executive of HEFCE, Professor Madeline Atkins said "International students enrich our
universities and colleges - and our society - academically, culturally, and through their contribution to the
economy. Supporting high-quality international education is a crucial part of ensuring that the UK continues to
engage with, and benefit from, the increasingly interconnected world". The link down there

Also there are so many students are already has been closed because of less international students. Recently ,
University of South Wales closed there London Campus because there are no students has been enrolled for one
year.
Dr Avinash Kanodia, British Citizen
Dr Kanodia from India recruited Department of Health in 2003 because of shortage of Doctors in NHS. He works
as a consultant radiologist in Perth. Himself and his wife and two children are British citizens now. An only child,
he checked before committing to move to the UK that his mother would be allowed to join them if her health
deteriorated. Since Dr Kanodia can afford to pay nursing care in India, Under the new rules she would not be
granted for new visa.
Dr Kanodia said , "The rules are morally wrong. I don't want to leave my mother in the care of a stranger
thousands of miles away. I was lured here with the promise of citizenship. But look how I am being treated as a
citizen of this country. This is the worst thing the government could have done to me."
Now he is more concerned and confused now what to do ?.He also added , "I pay over £40,000 in income tax
every year. I don't see how driving people like me away will help the economy of this country."
Here is the link, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20207357
Furthermore, In 2014 The Court of Appeal has dismissed a legal challenge to Home Office rules for UK citizens
who want their overseas spouses to live with them in Britain, affecting more than 3,600 families .The visa
applications of 3,641 families have been on hold since 5 July last year while the appeal court ruled on the legality
of a new Home Office minimum income threshold of £18,600 for sponsoring a foreign spouse.

There are so many people including British Citizens , International Students and also Universities are finding
difficult to live because of the recent rules of immigration. Life has become more tougher for the people and it is
really sad to see , country like in UK specially.
