Duties & Responsibilities
• Development of accounting staff and succession planning within the department.
• Familiarization of the Executive and Management Teams with financial awareness.
• Time plan to complete the annual profit, capital, cash and any other short-term plan
for the Company according to the format set by head office.
• Variance Analysis - to report according to formats set by head office and as
required by the General Manager on the actual performance compared to budget
and /or forecast with appropriate commentary explaining the cause, effect and
remedial.
• Action being taken to achieve planed or forecast performance.
• Short term forecasting in conjunction with the General Manager and the Executive
Team, the preparation of a monthly profit forecast for the next three months of the
financial year compared to plan and /or previous forecasts with comments and other
explanations as required.
• Long-term forecasting and strategic planning in conjunction with
the General Manager, the preparation of long term forecast with appropriate
comment and on an annual basis for strategic planning purposes.
• Capital Review - to review and approve all investment proposals including capital,
to ensure that both financial accuracy and business judgement is applied in the
process.
• New developments, acquisitions - to prepare, review and be involved in the
production of financial and other relevant data for new developments, acquisitions
where a financial and commercial input is required.
• General - to apply financial, commercial and business input into the management of
