technical center and in accordance with the manufacturing management
function in order to improve the productivity and efficiency of production
facility.

- Ensuring participation to the group sustainable development report along with
the local version.
- Reviewing, approving and distributing all documentation prepared by the plant
manager in respect to the ISO 14001 EMS.
- Responsible of CO2 management ( apply CO2 protocol, managing CO2 external
yearly audit to verify all CO2 source data for the Suez group plants ( Suez,
kattameya, Tourah, Helwan & Minya white ) and issue a yearly assurance CO2

- Represent the company in the CSI ( Cement sustainability Initiatives )meetings
and did a training workshops for the WBCSD-CO2 protocol to 25 cement
factories in Egypt , the recant one done in November 2015 in ministry of
industry. ( documents available if required )
- Apply a matrix of external measurements through third party to have a finger
print per stack for all pollutants and micro pollutants emitted, and in addition to
all measurements related to work environment in order to have a quarter
reports reflect the environmental status for each plant.
- Performed a monthly environmental meetings included environment managers
of the five plants.
- Performed a cross check environmental audit per plant every two months and
sharing all the findings in between the group, and define a long and short term
action plan to cover all the findings.

- Follow up the environment action plan committed with the authorities and
presented the progress in the projects through quarter meetings with the
environmental authorities.
- Apply a waste management system (mass balance waste in/waste out, defined
scrap area, defined hazardous waste storage) through a defined procedure that
applied within the group included hazardous and non hazardous wastes. (

- Established a data base for all wastes generated from other industries in Egypt
that can be used as alternative fuels /raw materials. ( documents available if

- Responsible to get the environmental authorities approvals , Environment
Impact Assessment ( EIA )for any new project in Suez group ( already performed

- Responsible for two CDM projects ( kattameya , Helwan ) already registered two
Clean Development Mechanism ( CDM ) in UNFCCC since December 2012, and
applied the monitoring plan defined in the ( PDD ) project designed documents
to get the generated CERs ( Carbon credit )( documents available if required )
- Responsible for quality assurance of emission data and to guarantee the flow of
data to the public network.
- Responsible to select the suitable measuring devices either which equipped the
stacks or for ambient air monitoring devices to be in line with the local law and

- Responsible to define a solution for the generated daily bypass dust from the
kilns, by reuse through others activities and to allocate a certified daily landfill
for the bypass per plant. ( documents available if required )
- Since June 2014 till March 2015, I am the head of the technical team of the
cement association of Egypt who represent the 25 cement factories during the
negotiation of the proposed draft for coal regulations that presented by the
environmental authorities, until the executive regulations for coal issued on
April 2015, and was agreed and accepted by all cement companies and also the
Egyptian authorities. ( documents available if required )
- Lecturer for the young engineers and give them course in Dedusting equipments
and environmental issues.
- Attend the annual environment meetings in Paris and present the group annual
reports.
