To find the square root of a number, you want to find some number that when multiplied by itself gives you the original number. In other words, to find the square root of 25, you want to find the number that when multiplied by itself gives you 25. The square root of 25, then, is 5. The symbol for square root is equation. In mathematics, a square root of a number
x is a number y such that y² = x; in other
words, a number y whose square is x. For
example, 4 and −4 are square roots of 16,

 The cube root of a number is the factor that
we multiply by itself three times to get that
number.
 The cube root of a number is a special value
that, when used in a multiplication three
