3. Part 1-What i know about Mary
Mary is the Mother of Jesus, she was chosen by
God. Mary was a holy person because she was
close to him. She was a very special person
because she was the Mother of the saviour. Her
parents were Anne and Joachim. They taught Mary
about God. She loved to learn about him, that
meant she deeply believed in God. Her birthday is
September the 8th.

by an angel that she was going to have a
baby. She was unsure but she said“ Yes “
because she believed in God. The results of
this happening was that Mary came closer to
God, she felt more holy and she had the spirit
of God within her. This showed that she

to God when Gabrielle, the angel told her that
she was going to have a baby called Jesus.
Mary responded by having him on the 25th
of December .

for Mary to watch her son

We look up to Mary as a role model because she used the habits
of mind. One of the habits she used was persisting. Mary used
this when she was trying to find Jesus in the temple. She had to
persist a lot in that story, it along time until Mary and Joseph
found Jesus in the temple.
We also admire Mary because she was humble, she didn’t go
shouting to the world that she was going to be the saviours
Mum. This shows that she managed her impulsivity.
Another reason is she questioned and posed problems. For
example when the angel Gabrielle appeared she was wondering
many things like, if Joseph would be ok with it and if she was
going to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’.Mary took a responsible risk when
Gabrielle asked her if she would be the saviours Mother. It was a
big risk for her to take because she knew that she was going to
go through tough times. Mary also had to listen with
understanding and empathy, she had to take all the information
in.
18. Part 2-The Annunciation
Today, I was looking at the amazing,
beautiful sky. When suddenly an angel
called Gabrielle appeared right in front of
me. I was scared and shocked, I didn’t
know what to say.
The angel said to me “ Do not be afraid,
God has sent me down here “. I felt a bit
better then. The angel told me that I am
the chosen one and I will have the saviour,
I shall call him Jesus. I felt hounered and
closer to God.
I still felt a bit shocked. I also felt amazed
and puzzled because I had been picked
out of thousands to be the saviours
Mother. I said “yes” because I believed in
God. Then Gabrielle flew away. I was happy
and excited but nervous at the same time
because I knew that I was going to go
through tough times. I listened to God by
the angel that had been sent down and
responded by having Jesus on the 25th of

Mary is by prayers. One of the
prayers we use is Mary, Help of
those in Need. The prayer used
holy in it because Mary prayed
to God a lot. It included help
because she helped people like
Jesus. The prayer also used

strength to Jesus at Calvary
when he was carrying the
cross. It included pray because
Mary prayed to God a lot. They
used religous because Mary
prayed and loved to learn
