2. Training the mind
Thinking routines are designing to build
a new habit of mind. We practice these
to become more critical in our thinking
and to think more deeply about what we
see.
3. See-Think-Wonder
• See = only the facts. What you
could PROVE in a court of law
• Think = What might be or
could be true. A guess as to
what is there.
• Wonder = What might have
happened before or next; the
why, the how
4. Example
See:
door, person, legs, hair, hands, floor,
hallway, bracelet, dress, door-handle,
keyhole
Think:
I think this is a woman, I think she is
floating, I think she is scared, I think she
is magic, I think she might be possessed
Wonder:
I wonder what song if someone else is
there, I wonder if why she is pushing on
the wall, I wonder what she is feeling, I
wonder why where she is, I wonder what
will happen next, I wonder is she can fly
