OUR CONCEPT
Lotty Dotty’s creation was born out of
Maya and Shevanne ‘s fond memories of
playing with paper dolls. In the search to
re-create the wonderment and pleasure of
this childhood experience, the Lotty Dotty
Paper Doll Project was started.
The concept of depicting a “paper doll like
image” on a t-shirt with the ability to dress
the doll was conceived. This unique design
allows the consumer to create a new t-shirt
by simply changing the clothes on the doll:
“dressing and undressing” her like one
does a real doll: in essence, an interactive
tee shirt. The dolls’ bathing suits are all
made of an array of beautiful colored
Velcro, which allows one to attach the mini-
clothing to the dolls. A critical component
of the interactive t-shirt is the two
dimensional clothing line made for the
dolls, by an array of talented upcoming
designers. We give these designers an
outlet and an opportunity to showcase their
t a l e n t a n d t o g a i n re c o g n i t i o n , b y
promoting them on our website and on the
packaging of the mini-outfits.

THE FOUNDERS
Maya Persaud, Founder and General Manager. Maya was raised in Hawaii
and Washington, DC. Maya’s international career started as a Fashion Model,
which led to extensive traveling and a desire to make a contribution to the
world in which we live. She pursued her Masters degree at University of
London’s prestigious School of Oriental and African Studies, SOAS, in Social
Anthropology of Development. Upon graduation she has worked as a sales
agent for various companies and has worked for Planet Finance, the Cimade,
Spring Magazine and S Magazine.
Co-founder and Vice-President, Shevanne, a Jamaican born American citizen from
Miami, has lived up to her multi-cultural heritage by living in several cities and countries
before settling down in Paris, France. Shevanne, the dynamic mother of three, has
worked in Fashion and Communication all her life. She designed and ran her own fashion
label for women, Iroko, for 7 years, before working with the renowned haute-couture
label Trash Couture. Shevanne changed her career by first earning her Masters in
International Relations and Diplomacy and then working with non-profit organizations,
including WICE, Paris. After a chance meeting with Maya Persaud, who had the idea for
Lotty Dotty, Shevanne decided to join forces with her to further develop and form the
company as we know today.
Danielle Helmer, Creative Director Danielle has been part of the Lotty Dotty team from
the beginning. While studying Design and Management at Parsons School of Design in
Paris, Danielle worked as an assistant to Marcellous Jones of the Fashion Insider and
after graduating, she worked briefly with Balmain before joining Lotty Dotty.

Each doll can be dressed and undressed directly on the T-shirt
