3. New Bruce Springsteen Album Debuts at No. 2 on
Billboard 200
Springsteen released his latest album, Western Stars, in June and the album debuted at No. 2 on
the Billboard 200 with 66,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week. The album was mostly
recorded at his New Jersey home studio and features guests like David Sancious, Soozie Tyrell,
and Patti Scialfa. Its lead single is "Hello Sunshine," while other songs include "Tuscon Train" and
"There Goes My Miracle."
4. New Bruce Springsteen Album Debuts at No. 2 on
Billboard 200
Madonna's Madame X took the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 ahead of Springsteen's Western
Stars, but the New Jersey rocker still recorded an impressive achievement by making his 20th
appearance among the top 10 Billboard albums. He is only the sixth male artist to do so, joining
Paul McCartney (20), Elton John (21), George Strait (21), Bob Dylan (22), and Elvis Presley (27).
He is tied for third with Barbara Streisand in all-time No. 1 albums with 11. The Beatles and Jay-Z
lead the way with 19 and 14, respectively.
