Christina Judith Perri was born August 19, 1986 and
is currently 27 years old. She is from Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania in the U.S. Her genres are pop, piano
rock, alternative rock and soul, she plays the piano,
guitar, bass guitar and sings. Her debut single "Jar of
Hearts" charted after it was featured on the Fox
television show So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. The
single went on to sell over 3 million copies in the
United States and was a hit around the world. After
"Jar of Hearts" began to gather a large amount of
attention, Christina signed a record deal with Atlantic
Records. In 2012, she wrote and recorded "A Thousand
Years" for the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn –
Part 1 and it appears on the accompanying soundtrack.
The song went on to sell over 4 million copies in the
United States, being certified 4× platinum. Christian's
second studio album, Head or Heart, was released on
April 1, 2014. Its lead single, "Human", was released
on November 18, 2013, and that is the song I will be
singing for you today.
