• The university located at Raysan village of Gandhinagar city in an area known as Knowledge Corridor , and
it is near the gift city.
• Pandit Deendayal Energy University has been awarded Scientific & Industrial Research Organization (SIRO)
recognition by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research , Ministry of Science & Technology ,
Government of India. PDEU has ranked no. 1 Private University in Gujarat and has received “Centre of
Excellence Status” (in Principle) by Government of Gujarat. Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU)
,Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is young energy university committed to impartexcellence through education and
training based upon the foundation of the proficient future research and innovations.
• The university has four schools, located on the same campus. The schools include the School of
Petroleum Technology (SPT),the School of Technology (SOT), the School of Petroleum Management
(SPM), and the School of Liberal Studies (SLS).

8. Waste is not a waste until we waste it
About talk:
If you think something is at the end of its lifespan and cannot be used any further. It becomes garbage. Then
we must find a way to manage it. However if you think of the waste are resource then we can find a way to
reuse it.
Session-A: Speaker-1
Prof. Mahesh Ganesapillai
Professor, School of Chemical
Engineering Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
About the speaker and their talk
Title of talk:
Session-A: Speaker-2
• Prof. G. Arthanaresswaran
• Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT
Tiruchirappali
Title of talk:
Removal and recovery of value-added products from Waste towards a sustainable circular bio economy.
9. About talk:
Global issues such as environmental problems and food security are currently of concern to all of us.
Circular bioeconomy is a promising approach towards resolving these global issues.
Dr. Suneel Pandey
Director, Environment & Waste
Management Division, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI)
Session-B: Speaker-1
Title of talk:
Green Growth and Waste Management
About talk:
Zero waste challenge is the idea to guide people in changing their lifestyles and practices to minimize the
negative environmental impacts.
Most of the three challenging sectors in waste stream is plastics, electronics and medical.
10. Session-A: speaker-1
Title of talk:
Green synthesis of semiconductors for energy applications
About talk:
Green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles has become new and promising field of research in recent years.
Green synthesis of nanoparticle has gained sinificant importance in recent years as it has several merits such as it
is simple, cost-effective, nanoparticles formed have good stability, less time consumption, non-toxic by products,
environment-friendly and can be easily scaled up for large-scale synthesis.
11. Session-A: Speaker-2
Title of talk:
Evaporative cooling
About talk:
Evaporative cooling, otherwise known as adiabatic cooling, works on the principle of water evaporation through
which the air is cooled down to a comfortable temperature.
It is cooling and ventilation technique that uses water as its refrigerant.
During the evaporative cooling process, water is evaporated in a stream of air and passes from a liquid to a gas.
Session-B: Speaker-1
Title of talk:
Emerging trends on Energy storage dedevices
About talk:
As the world moves towards electric and away from fossil fuels enegy storage will became ubiquitos in its
application.
Nanotech Energy is enabling a future which realize graphene’s potential to create real world benefits, from
helping develop more cost-efficient, environmentally-friendly personal electronic devices to creating a more
efficient way to harness renewable energy.
12. Valedictory Session
