To Whom it May Concern:
I am writing this letter to confirm that Miguel Moll Pujols attended my Advanced Mechatronics
class, ME597D, during the Spring semester of 2012. This is a graduate-level course within our
department, and is generally attended by students with at least one year of prior experience in
developing mechatronic systems. Miguel would have received an A in the course, which is our
top mark.
Additionally, Mr. Moll-Pujols worked in my research group as an international affiliate under
my guidance. He is presently finishing up his thesis with me on the construction, programming,
and testing of a hardware testbed for developing control and energy management systems for
very large DC motors. These systems are necessary for large robots such as bomb-disposal
robots, wheelchairs, and small automated vehicles. His test stand will be very important and
useful in our research to develop new robot designs and control algorithms for these vehicles.
I have been very impressed with Miguel during his year-long stay in my group, not only with his
academic performance but also in his personality. He gets along very well with other members of
the group. He has a good sense of humor, is very considerate of others, and I’ve never seen him
lose his temper despite times of frustration on the project. He has made great progress without
needing much oversight, and on top of this his English skills have improved remarkably since his
stay – at present, one might easily confuse him as a native speaker. He will be sorely missed.
Of course, I would be happy to answer any further questions you have about Miguel, and I can
be contacted directly by E-mail at sbrennan@psu.edu or by phone at (814) 863-2430.
Sincerely,
Sean Brennan, Associate Professor
