Michele
Testi
worked
as
a
part-­‐time
volunteer
Accounts
intern
at
Vibewire
from
October
2013
to
April
2014.
Vibewire
is
an
Australian
not-­‐for-­‐profit
youth
organisation,
which
exists
to
ensure
that
younger
generations
are
included
in
conversations
that
matter.
We
do
this
by
providing
opportunities
and
events
for
young
people
to
express
themselves
through
media,
arts
and
entrepreneurship.
Michele
was
responsible
for
coordinating
all
of
Vibewire’s
finances.
Michele
undertook
the
role
of
monitoring
and
updating
financial
data
and
managing
accounts
receivable
and
accounts
payable
in
order
to
keep
Vibewire’s
finances
in
order.
As
part
of
his
role,
he
was
responsible
for
preparing
quarterly
financial
reports,
including
Business
Activity
Statements,
forecasting
budgets
and
internal
audits,
liaising
with
third
party
vendors
and
suppliers,
assisting
with
fundraising
and
financial
needs
of
other
teams.
He
regularly
liaised
with
members
of
other
teams
within
Vibewire,
especially
the
change
media
and
graphic
design
teams,
to
monitor
and
control
the
Hub’s
expenditure.
During
his
time
at
Vibewire,
Michele
demonstrated
strong
organisational
and
communication
skills
and
worked
well
autonomously
and
in
a
team.
He
completed
the
tasks
assigned
to
his
in
a
detailed
and
attentive
manner.
Michele
demonstrated
an
extensive
amount
of
initiative
and
commitment
to
the
job.
Michele
also
assisted
the
human
resources
team
in
the
recruitment
and
selection
of
talented
interns
to
staff
the
accounting
team
owing
to
his
skills
in
financial
matters,
and
ensured
a
smooth
handover
of
duties
to
his
replacements
in
the
Accounts
team.
Michele’s
contribution
to
our
organisation
was
extremely
valuable
and
we
are
sad
to
see
him
go.
We
were
very
fortunate
to
have
had
such
a
competent,
intelligent
and
productive
worker.
I
highly
recommend
Michele
to
any
workplace
or
educational
facility
as
he
will
be
a
fantastic
employee
to
any

student

any
teacher,

he
always
shows
