To whom it may concern,
Mia Georgiadis was in my Year One class for five weeks as a student-teacher.
It was an absolute pleasure observing and teaching alongside Mia. Her positive teaching qualities noticed
by myself, fellow staff members, the students and Mia’s university supervisor.
Mia was highly professional in her demeanour and approach to school life. She was punctual, organised,
hard-working, perceptive and responsible. She developed an excellent rapport with staff and students due
to her warm, personable and smiley disposition.
In the classroom, Mia planned, organised and taught lessons in a proficient manner. She tackled various
learning and behavioural challenges with profound understanding and determination. She
comprehensively documented her own learning, growing positively from reflections and constructive
criticism. Mia found a terrific balance of bringing her own initiatives to our classroomas well as
maintaining the integral elements of our classroomculture, this includes learning about the Reggio Emilia
philosophy. Indeed, an impressive demonstration of Mia’s potential was when she included the different
Cultural Forces, as part of Bialik’s commitment to the Cultures of Thinking, to her planning documents.
Mia was a diligent, positive and capable student-teacher who conducted her overall placement as if she
had been teaching for a long time.
I would highly recommend Mia as an Early Years teacher.
Warmest regards,
