with!a!well2established!paper!mill.!!They!already!have!the!manufacturing!
capabilities!that!we!need.!!Our!biggest!threat!for!this!method!is!the!politics.!!The!
lumber!industry!is!one!of!the!largest!contributors!to!the!anti2hemp!movement!
because!they!see!the!threat!hemp!poses!to!their!industry.!!Lumber!suppliers!might!
be!unhappy!if!a!paper!mill!begins!working!with!hemp!as!well!and!cause!stress!to!the!
mill’s!supply!chain.!!Because!of!this,!we!will!need!a!mill!that!does!not!rely!heavily!on!
the!lumber!industry.!!For!each!of!our!products!we!have!found!producers!that!fill!our!
needs.!

that!make!it!new!and!interesting.!!The!greatest!trial!for!me!in!a!group!sense!was!that!
I!had!a!strong!idea!of!what!this!the!company!should!be!like!and!I!needed!to!get!

overbearingness!and!stopped!but!other!times!I!struggled.!

collaboration,!and!team!communication!are!the!skills!and!abilities!we!learned!and!
improved!from!each!other!after!doing!all!the!hands2on!tasks.!At!first,!I!was!really!
stressed!out!about!how!to!finish!this!one!hundred!page!proposal;!additionally,!I!was!
extremely!worried!about!the!“firing!system”!which!the!person!could!potentially!got!
kicked!out!from!the!team!because!of!the!bad!attitudes/!contribution!at!the!same!
time.!However,!we!as!a!team,!overcome!those!difficulties!such!as!communication,!
cultural!differences.!!
Even!though!we!were!the!last!place!in!our!recitation!after!the!first!interim,!
we!start!trying!really!hard!and!tackling/!anticipating!what!type!of!points!that!is!our!
leader!looking!for!in!everyone’s!proposal.!From!2!hours!working!on!our!team!
project!per!week!to!4!hours.!Gladly,!we!bounced!back!and!won!the!second!place!
after!the!submission!of!interim!2.!It!was!extremely!a!joyful!moment!when!we!got!
noticed!that!we!were!the!second!place!in!our!recitation.!!I!hope!that!we!can!keep!this!
synergy!going!and!finish!this!proposal!strong.!Friendship!last!forever!!

When!I!first!met!our!group!members,!I!thought!we!were!going!to!spend!a!
tough!time!in!the!whole!semester.!The!group!is!formed!with!people!from!different!
countries.!It!means!our!value,!standard!and!living!environment!are!completely!
different,!which!will!be!hard!to!coordinate.!However!we!have!a!great!job!done!
within!the!project!so!far.!This!is!the!teamwork!so!you!have!to!assure!there!will!be!
less!demur!between!your!team!members.!Communication!plays!the!role!of!bridge!
across!the!gap!of!dissonance,!if!you!don’t!solve!this!problem,!the!gap!will!become!
bigger!until!the!collapse.!
This!is!a!very!good!experience!of!working!with!data.!First!you!need!to!find!all!
the!data!you!need!as!much!as!possible.!Then!filtrate!the!unvalued!gray!data!and!
select!what!you!actually!need.!There!is!tremendous!work!for!it!but!really!useful.!You!
cannot!just!skip!some!data!that!you!think!is!useless.!Every!action!should!be!done!
after!full!analysis,!which!is!the!core!value!of!Information!Management.!Process!
mapping!is!a!worthy!work!to!do!during!your!project.!It!will!make!your!plan!clear!
and!ordered.!You!will!not!mass!up,!have!no!idea!where!to!start!and!what!to!do!next.!
Having!the!job!done!step2by2step!will!increase!a!lot!of!efficiency.!As!well!as!the!
process!mapping,!a!proper!time!and!project!management!can!also!help!a!lot.!For!the!
purpose!of!doing!progressive!work,!you!can!find!it!worthwhile.!

remember!to!communicate!with!your!team!members,!don't!keep!all!the!

This!project!is!such!a!challenge!for!me!because!I!am!not!familiar!with!E2
commerce.!But!it!taught!me!a!lot!about!not!only!operation!and!information!
management!but!also!about!how!to!cooperate!with!others.!I!feel!so!lucky!to!have!
worked!with!a!great!group.!Christopher!Robinson!as!an!English!native!speaker!did!
some!extra!work!(checking!writing)!for!our!group.!And!Mengdan!Yang!always!edits!
the!final!draft!and!prints!it!for!our!group.!She!also!scans!the!feedback!for!us!to!
modify!our!project.!My!teammates!showed!selfless!devotion!to!group.!And!this!
motivated!me!to!do!my!best!on!my!project!because!I!don't!want!to!let!my!team!
down.!Throughout!the!semester,!our!group!had!multiple!discussions!about!project!
to!coordinate!each!other’s!schedules!to!get!our!submissions!in!on!time!with!high!
quality.!
Working!with!data!and!process!mapping!was!new!to!me.!Data!is!important!in!
business.!Using!data!makes!it!possible!to!spot!connections!and!details!in!operation.!
Process!map!can!provide!a!blueprint!for!implementing!the!process!and!it!can!
identify!the!waste!and!inefficient.!Data!and!process!mapping!can!help!company!to!
build!up!competitive!advantages!in!the!market!with!fierce!competition.!
Time!and!project!management!are!important!for!a!project.!Our!group!assigned!and!
scheduled!the!tasks!according!to!the!project!outline!on!D2L.!I!started!my!project!
early!to!reduce!unnecessary!stress!because!stress!is!unhealthy!and!I!can!have!more!
time!to!modify!my!project.!
For!future!BCOR!2500!students!I!suggest!that!it’s!important!to!pick!a!good!
group.!Because!it!is!a!difficult!project!and!you!have!to!cooperate!with!your!
