To whom it may concern,
I am writing to recommend Melissa Tecklenburg, who I have known and worked with for two years
through a partnership between The Citadel and the Post + Courier. I truly enjoy collaborating with
Melissa, and am impressed by her work ethic, relationship building skills, and passion for helping
others.
The Citadel’sOffice of Communications and Marketing works with countless vendors and designers
nationwide, and Melissa is hands down a favorite. With Melissa, we never feel like we are being
sold to. Rather, she builds real relationships, and provides a sense that she is engaged in our success
before her own. She makes insightful recommendations, keeps us front of mind, does not let
details slipthrough the cracks, and quickly and calmly brings our last minute “panic” requests to
fruition.
As the industry evolves, with most news organizations now offering targeted digital advertising
beyond their immediate network, it’s no exaggeration to say advertisers can choose from a hundred
organizations offering the same platform. Customer service and innovative thinking becomes a
deciding factor in vendor selection, and I would confidently recommend working with Melissa to
any fellowadvertiser. She is an absolute pleasure to work with.
I have great admiration for Melissa’s hard work outside of the office,as well. She dedicates a great
deal of her personal time giving back to the community, most recently as Auction Chair for the
March of Dimes’ annual Signature Chef’s Auction in Charleston. This role is no easy feat, but she is
passionate about the cause and pulledeverything off beautifully, which I was able to witness first
hand.
I have no doubt Melissa would be a valuable asset to your organization, and I give my highest
recommendation.
