This document provides instructions for crocheting a scarf using the half double crochet (hdc) stitch. The scarf is made in rows with increases on some rows to widen it. It instructs the reader to hdc in each stitch across, chaining 2 in between rows. When the desired length is reached, decreases are made by slipping stitches together to shape the other end and end with the same number of stitches as the beginning. Any yarn and hook size can be used as long as gauge is achieved.
