Personal Statement
Currently working on an Adult Critical Care Unit in a Private Hospital in London, where I
have worked for just over 3 years. I have a total of 7 years Intensive Care experience.
My duties include caring for and monitoring patients who require ventilatory, renal and
cardiovascular support and monitoring, administering medications and infusions, and
providing emotional support to the patient themselves and their families. I assume the
role of Team Leader, Critical Care Outreach Sister and Cardiac Arrest Responder as
and when required. I work in collaboration with medical staff, physiotherapists,
pharmacists and dieticians to provide holistic patient care individual to each patient.
Prior to working in Critical Care, I worked for 4 years on a Coronary Care Unit, caring for
patients with acute cardiovascular illness. I have the Mentorship and Preceptorship
qualification and enjoy teaching students and junior team members.
