2. Making the blood
This photo shows the
ingredients and equipment
used in making the fake
blood.We used icing sugar,
coco powder, syrup, ketchup,
washing up liquid, water and
red food colouring to create
different types of fake blood.
3. Preparation
This is the suit worn by
Joey when we tried the
different types of fake
blood to see which one
was best. We wanted to
test the aesthetics and
practicality of the bloods
so we splashed, poured
and smeared blood over
the suit.
4. The Product
We decided that this
would be the type of
blood we would use in our
OTS.
This one is made up of
ketchup, syrup, water and
red food colouring.
We made this decision
because this looks like
fresh blood, which is was
we require for our OTS.
5. What it looks like
This is what the mix of
ketchup, syrup, water
and red food colouring
looks like when
splattered on a white t-
shirt; as it will be in the
OTS.
6. Why did we do this?
Aesthetics are an important part of mise-en-scene,
which will largely contribute to how effective our
OTS is in scaring the audience.
This fake blood workshop allows us to conduct
reliable primary research on a low budget, helping us
improve the quality of our final product without
spending a lot of money.
