MBBC Profile
1. CHURCH PROFILE The Bible Baptist Church of Malangasstarted by the grace of God in the year 1987 through Pastor VergelioAbatayo serving the Lord as a missionary. Five years later, it was organized as church, bearing the name MalangasBible Baptist Church, up to the present. God blessed the church with added souls and own church building, physically located close to town’s gymnasium. In the year 2008, the local church was registered in the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commissions under the official name of MalangasBible Baptist Church and Ministries Incorporated. Aside from its owned building, the church was also blessed with a 1-hectare land donated by a church member. Such parcel of land is now being utilized and developed as farmland by the bible students to help meet their very basic needs. In June 2010, the church was turned over to Pastor RadsterSila, formerly the assistant pastor, while Pastor VergelioAbatayotook over another local church.
2. VISIONS The church now being headed by Pastor RadsterPabellaSila, envisioned to start a Bible School, an orphanage and a secular school. Considering the fact that the nearest bible school is in Cebu City, which is around 24 hours travel from the town and substantially unaffordable to most members. Thus, the local church felt the urgent need of a local bible school to cater the growing number of people who respond to God’s call to serve full time in the ministry of the gospel. On the other hand, driven by the desire to take care and love the little children, especially the orphans, the church visionedof establishing an orphanage. Furthermore, MBBC prayed for a secular school viewing it as one great way of reaching out lost souls in the area. With God provisions, a pre-school class will start on June 2011.
3. Bible Seminary On October 2010, there were more than 10 young people who surrendered their lives to work full time in the ministry. For that reason, the church decided to start the bible school, informal it may be, so as not to hinder the blazing desire in the hearts of these young individuals, who responded and committed themselves to God's call. Currently, non-formal night classes are going on in the church for 5 bible students, initially. As they are enrolled for free, teachers are also on free services, each voluntarily rendering free services for the glory of God. The students are "stay ins“ thus the church has to provide for their cost of living from the meager general funds, banking on God's faithfulness, holding unto HIS words that the just shall live by faith. The church facilities used for worship and church services were being utilized as bible school facilities also.
