3. • In hindsight, there are two possibilities for what happened that
night. Possibility one. By some glitch in reality, or something
paranormal, this other car had somehow appeared behind me
within 10 seconds of me checking my mirror. Like some weird ghost
crap or something. However, the second option is what makes my
blood run cold whenever I consider it.
• It didn’t even occur to me until months after the fact, but it makes
me dread driving alone at night even more. Possibility two. The car
was normal. It had approached me from the rear and passed me to
my left. However, something large, and wide, and as black as the
night had been clinging to the rear of my car, obscuring my view
through the window and leaving deep scratches on the sides.
• And I had inadvertently driven it home with me.

4. • My grandmother grew up in the slums of Prohibition-era Chicago. Her family lived
in a small house near the harbor, and one of her earliest memories was of a
particularly hot summer when, seeking respite from the heat, she and her sister
discovered a seldom-used section of boardwalk near an abandoned warehouse.
Every night for several weeks, the two girls would make their way down to the
docks and sit together on the edge of the pier as the sun went down. My
grandmother vividly, and for a time fondly, recalled the feel of the seaweed
between her toes as she and her sister dangled their feet into the murky water.
• It wasn’t until years later that she returned to the pier and found that the
warehouse had been demolished. Curious, she made an inquiry with the
Department of Planning and Development. Apparently, the warehouse had been
owned for a time by the Mob, who was using it as a base of operations for a local
prostitution racket. It had only been uncovered when an associate began
‘disposing’ of rival hookers by fitting them with concrete shoes and dumping them
into the harbor. Investigating officers had recovered nearly two dozen bodies from
the waters of a secluded pier nearby.
• How had the bodies been discovered? A passing fisherman spotted some of the
victims’ hair floating near the surface of the water, like seaweed.

6. Existing Products Research
• Beach audio-This audio induces the feeling of being in an atmosphere next to a
beach . It does this by playing a continuous bombardment of soft sounding
waves and seagull sounds are included, some are loud and some are quiet
creating the perfect feeling of them moving around you
• Rainforest audio- The audio on this recording fully amerces you in the setting of
a rainforest, it includes a continuous droning of the little river with a waterfall
that’s about 1 foot tall and the frogs, crickets and birds that never stop chirping.
Other wildlife can be heard throughout like different types of birds and
mammals which gives the recording a bit of diversity so you can fully amerce
and embrace the natural surrounding sounds to set a scene in which something
happens
• Heart beat increasing- This simple yet effective audio technique induces a
thrilling, tension rising atmosphere which follows a heart beat speeding up, as
the reader listens to this they can relate to whenever they have had an
experience in which their heartbeat feels so fast It would explode. This effect
can also be used to make the reader pay more attention and find out what is
making the characters heartrate increase.

9. Idea Generation/Initial Reaction
I want to create a narrated story about parents who receive a call
from their missing child. She had been missing for 11 years and
the parents laid in shock as they were the ones who killed their
child that night. I would use a raining background sound, maybe
a crackling fire and that could be a crucial part in the murder of
the child. The reason could be something like insurance. Maybe
flashbacks of the child screaming or talking to its parents not
knowing moments later it would be killed.

Working Title: Seaweed
Audience:
I have a very wide audience but it will mostly be interest to any gender mostly adults that are interested in sea related crime and innocent
characters that are in for a surprise. It will appeal to mostly middle class who like a trip to the seaside and interested in the history of an area
.t. The age of the audience im trying to appeal to is people ages from around 16+ due to the mature themes and nature of the story. The
story, like other creepy pasta stories appeal to the same range of late teens and other people who enjoy interesting and realistic stories
which a large ammount of people like to read aand use for a source of entertainment.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
I plan to implant some sound effects to be played after I said some descriptive words such as
'boat', 'chicago', and 'water' or 'docks' and I would then choose the appropriate sound effect like
a boat horn, busy city sounds and water effects.
I then recorded my voice and also included the horror ambience alongside my voice and the
sound effects.

Mr and Mrs Rose were sitting down for an average weeknight evening, the latest hospital drama on channel 2, A nice, warm,
loving cup of tea to sip and probably fall asleep on the sofa with a wool stitched blanket that grasps you with comfort and heat.(
crackling fire) (sip of tea) But this wasn’t just any ordinary night, today is the anniversary their 4 year old daughters disappearance
14 years ago. A man jailed, a recovered weapon, yet no body. Where did this sick minded man put the body? In the Roses house a
coal lit furnace 1 metre squared in perimeter which sits in the middle of the living room which was very spacious. The couple
were given a considerable amount of compensation for the death of their daughter so this would mean they had to work little but
could still afford a cosy yet modern rural home. They were living a happy life, noting could affect their happiness except an
overwhelming feel of guilt and sickness. Its because they lost their only child and could never have another one as it could never
replace Amelia, nothing could replace Amelia. A knock at the door interrupted the Roses TV drama and made them question who
could that be at this hour, 3 o’clock that was. A cold breeze consumed the house and the remaining light provided by the lamp
was heard being switched off behind them.

18. Daily Reflection Day 1
Today I started to research on what story id like
to use and create a couple of slides choosing
which one to use, this short period has given me
the chance to choose a suitable story to adapt
into an audio production short horror story.

• Today I looked at existing products of
ambience music which is one of the main
things needed in the production of my horror
story. I thought it was important to choose the
right one because it alligns with the speech
and will be one of then man things to alter the
audiences thoughts to envoke a sense of fear.

Today I produced the audio story by recording
myself reading the seaweed creepy pasta text. I
then added the dark woods horror ambience
and also the sound effects which are placed in
sections where they are relevent to the story at
that point wherever it may be.

• The research I did for my audio project consisted of looking at
horror stories online such as reddit and creepy pasta. I was trying to
look for a story that appealed to me and one that didn’t fall into the
usualy cliché horror story. On the creepy pasta website I came
across seaweed which included an unusual twist.
• I realised in many horror stories and podcasts that almost every
one has a horror ambience soundtrack which made the telling of
the story that much sinister. I wanted to use a theme tune from a
horror movie called the babadook which had a unique dark tone. I
couldn’t find the right one so I settled for a horror ambience
soundtrack off of youtube that is supposed to emulate horror
sounds that may be found in a horror story based in some dark
woods.

My planning proccess was quite simple. I chose to implant some
sound effects to be played after I said some descriptive words
such as 'boat', 'chicago', and 'water' or 'docks' and I would then
choose the appropriate sound effect like a boat horn, busy city
sounds and water effects.
I then recorded my voice and also included the horror ambience
alongside my voice and the sound effects.

26. Time Management
• I did quite large chunks of this project at once which created a
bit of flow tension so I may of chosen different ideas since my
initial first few slides but in the end result it all fit together
well, and the overall idea and finished piece was
accomplished.
• If I were to do the project again I would manage my time
much more efficiently, this way I could get it finished quicker
and I will try and impliment these skills into future projects.

27. Technical Qualities
Some technical qualities of my video include editing how loud the
different sounds so they don’t get mixed up with one another. The
ambience is quietly in the background and my voice is the loudest
sound and the sound effects are implimented just enough so they are
easily heard and also don’t mask my voice.

28. Aural Qualities
My aural qualities include the soundtrack which was a horror
ambience, this increases tension and also creates a sinister tone
when alligned with my voice.
Sound effects are implemented throughout the story at the
appropriate timings where it has the most effect.
If I were to complete the project again I would put a lot more effort
into the recording of my voice and the quality of my voice and the
sound effects, although they are satisfactory and do their job I
believe I could of done a way better job.

My project was meant to appeal to people that like twists in horror
stories and grusome descriptions that scare them. The age of the
