Profile
I am an enthusiastic, polite and well-mannered individual. I pride myself on good time
keeping and have a positive attitude to learning new skills. I am an active person and
have positive interpersonal and communication skills, which I have used in my
previous work placements, and when working within teams to complete assignments
in college.
Within college and High school, I have demonstrated willing to try anything I am
asked to do. I have also demonstrated I am able to work using my own initiative and as
part of a team taking pride in a job well done.
Work Experience
While in high school, I spent a week working within the Flintshire County council. Here
I spent time working within reception, interacting and communicating with people face
to face and over the phone. I also had an important task to hand out mail throughout
the offices and visit staff within the council. One task I was also given was to update,
sort and search through the council database to find and give information to members
of staff.
Overall from my time working with in the council, I gained a lot of knowledge
working with other people, and I think I really enhanced my communication and
computer skills.
Volunteer Work
During my time within school, I helped a person with disabilities by walking his dog
once a day for two weeks. I gained a lot of satisfaction from this, knowing I am helping
someone who cannot complete the tasks himself. From completing this volunteer
work, I gained a youth volunteer award
Education
2016-2017 – I am currently studying the Extended Diploma in Engineering Level 3.
(180 Credits)
2015/2016 – I have completed the BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering (90 Credits)
2. 2014/2015 – I Studied at Deeside College Cambria Engineering and I have completed
BTEC PEO Level 2 Diploma in Engineering, which included CITY & GUILDS 2850
Level 2 Engineering. On this course I gained practical skills in bench fitting, CAD and
electronics which immensely improved my hand and computer skills.
While studying at Argoed High School, I gained 11 GCSES including English,
Mathematics and Science (A – C grades).
During my spare time I completed a weekend course at Airbus, and I came away with
an Industrial cadet bronze level award. During this course I gained a lot of knowledge
and skills of aeronautical engineering. I was also taught about Aerospace workshop
safety, the understanding of Aircraft flight controls, A319 wing components and the
manufacture of an Aircraft Repair Plate. This course inspired me to gain more
engineering qualifications, and also to work within this industry.
Interests
I have always been interested in football and I have been playing since I was young.
This motivated me to play for my local football team, and during that time we were
successful finishing in the top half of our league. Since I am no longer in a team, I play
football on the weekends with my friends ina 5 aside game at Deeside Leisure Centre.
