BLUETOOTH SPEAKER
PATENT PENDING 29/528,057
A one-of-a-kind speaker figure was sought to be eye-
catching yet durable enough for indoor or outdoor use. This
Bluetooth speaker must be as customizable as possible for
optimal collegiate branding. To maximize the speaker’s custom
color potential, a silicone web wraps around the outside of the
body, making the product available in 7 popular college colors.
The speaker was also required to employ removable side
inserts for printing to reduce waste in case of misprints.

3. Bluetooth speaker sketches // A cube shape was
quickly agreed upon during ideation, although finding a design
to stand out from the rest was a welcomed challenge. When
experimentally combining 2D surfaces with 3D forms, and
merging circles with cubes, the result proves that you can fit a
round insert in a square speaker.

4. Cubio Bluetooth Speaker // This sleek and durable
wireless speaker yields premium sound quality and displays
your favorite custom logo printed on the side panels. The
colorful silicone wrap protects the Cubio, making it an ideal
portable speaker. Just sync it, set it, hit play, and rock out!

5. Cubio packaging // The Cubio is packaged in a foldable
clear box for online orders, and an elegant crystal box for
in-store display. The pallet display developed for warehouse

PHONE STAND
PATENT No. D771615
Although phone stands can take a myriad of different
shapes, this one must stand out from the rest, while also fitting
the in-house customization requirements. Being limited by the
size constraints of the in-house digital printers, the phone stand
required print surfaces to be no more than 2 inches thick. In this
case, an individualized solution was enacted to make the form
disassembleable, so the three surfaces could be printed simul-
taneously.
6
7. Phone stand form development // With seemingly
limitless configuration possibilities, a phone stand provides
a unique opportunity for unbridled creativity. Cutting and
folding paper into a pyramid form revealed some truly
original shapes, with peculiar triangular surfaces for
attention-grabbing graphics.
7
8. Pyramid Phone Stand // This unique three piece phone
& tablet stand supports a variety of devices in landscape or
portrait mode, and has open access for charging cables.
Rubber grips on the pedestal and base prevent sliding. The
Pyramid stand is the perfect complement to any work space!
8
9. Pyramid packaging // The Pyramid Phone Stand can be
disassembled to fit into a clear clamshell, or tied down to a
foldable printed cardboard tray. The trays fit 12 units to a
trapezoid trapper, ideal for countertop displays.

10. Human Power
ENERGY GENERATING KNEE BRACE
Producing renewable energy has long been a goal of
industrialized countries, and recently some attention has been
directed towards capturing the power of people’s own kinetic
movement. The concept of developing an energy generating
knee brace has been explored, but not yet perfected to be
marketable. The goal of the Human Power brace is to create
a lightweight, easy-to-use knee brace suited for a myriad of
potential user groups.
10
11. Energy Generating Knee Brace // This year long
energy focused research project sought to tap Human
Power as a source of renewable, sustainable energy. Both
the U.S. Military and several private research institutions
have explored the development of an energy generating
knee brace. Such a device could be used by many groups
of people, including athletes, exercisers, cyclists, hikers,
military personnel, and senior citizens.
11
12. Human Power // Seeking to harness renewable energy from
human kinetic motion, this project focused on developing an athletic
knee brace to protect active users from injury, while generating enough
energy to charge personal devices while exercising. The brace could
also be used outdoors for powering flashlights, GPS, communication
devices, or other handheld equipment.

13. Jigsaw
INTRICUT 5000
While many electric and battery-operated jigsaws
currently on the market have been designed for use by
builders, handymen, and serious woodworkers, a gap exists
when it comes to a reliable jigsaw whose operation can be
intuitively grasped by homeowners, hobbyists, and casual
users. The goal of this design project is to produce a safe,
easy-to-use jigsaw for non-professional use.
13
14. Jigsaw Development // This design project involved researching power
tool users to develop a safe, easy-to-use jigsaw for homeowners, hobbyists,
and other casual users. The form development stage focused on user needs
such as ideal ergonomics for optimal control and maneuverability, with a strong
yet user friendly design language.
14
15. The IntriCut Jigsaw // provides the optimal jigsaw experi-
ence for casual users. Created specifically for non-professional
work, this compact jigsaw is tailored for ideal ergonomics. This
