activity, such as regular class attendance, homework, laboratory work,

Accreditation ofhigher education institutions rnd study programme5
Higher educatlon institutions (HEls) and their sturjy progtammes are subject to an evalua-
tion process in order to get accreditation. The request fo, accred tation is subm tted to the
Minstry nchargeofhighereducation,whichtherrequestsanevaluatonfromtheNatlonal
Council for Higher Educätion (NcHE). The NcHE appornts an expert comm ttee whi.h, ln
cooperation w th the Agency for 5c ence and H g her Ed ucation, performs lhe evalualion and
5ubmits a report A draft report is then sent to the HEI for feeriback and clariflcations The
Nat onal Council makes a flnal evaluation ofthe proposed study program me or of the h igher
education institltion and recommends to the minister issuance or den al ofaccreditation.

Educational requirements for admission into 5tuÜ programmes

grammes. Normally, the m nrmum requ rement for admission to !nivers ty undergraduate
programmes is complet on of a four-year secondary school, the mlnlmum requirement for
enrolment into first cycle vocational proqrammes is compietion ofa three'or four-year sec-
