o Established the Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI) business of the Allco Finance
Group, involving the design and implementation of the full mortgage credit operating
platform, assessment rules, audit/compliance protocols, reinsurance arrangements,
and key staff recruitment. (The Mortgage Insurance Company – TMIC).
o Developed credit strategies for Royal & Sun Alliance Lenders Mortgage Insurance
including an electronic underwriting platform, and was the first to apply “on site”
mortgage credit underwriting teams in Australia”
2. o Appointed to lead the Project Team which successfully introduced the Lenders
Mortgage Insurance business of Royal & Sun Alliance global into the New Zealand
market.
o Appointed by Radian LMI, a USA Philadelphia based Mortgage Insurer, as their sole
Australian Representative.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Currently:
Chief Underwriting Officer – BT Financial Group, as part of the overall Westpac
Group.
I was approached by BTLMI (inclusive WLMI) the Lenders Mortgage insurance captive
operation of Westpac Group. My responsibility is in setting the credit parameters, pricing
policy, operational process maps and Underwriting levels/referral processes across all
channels of the bank for mortgage product including Westpac Bank, St George Bank, Rams,
Bank of Melbourne and BankSA. This is a senior management team appointment.
April 2009 to July 2012:
AIG Mortgage Risk Solutions - Chief Risk Advisor.
Appointed to consult and implement a suitable platform to enable the ongoing LMI business
in Australian / New Zealand, including creation of required policies and procedures and
compliance framework.

The Mortgage Insurance Company (an Allco Finance Group subsidiary) –
Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
TMIC was a small divisional company of the Allco Group, and I was appointed at inception of
TMIC, an authorised APRA Insurer.
Responsible for the full design and implementation of the operational platform in accordance
with APRA compliance standards and operating licence conditions. Implemented the Risk
policies both Financial, and Operational, governance requirements, Credit policy
parameters, Operational platforms, Underwriting Standards, Collection policies and Business
Continuity / Disaster Recovery Plans.
Recruited senior staff to all key positions and instituted Board.
April 2003 to July 2004
Lenders Mortgage Insurance / Credit consultant.
Self Employed - Managing Director Martin Henryand Associates.
Primary contract with US based Radian Lenders Mortgage Insurance, as their Australian
representative.
Focussed on assessment of Australian based LMI portfolios, from a credit standpoint for
Radian’s potential future expansion plans, and modelled ROI for securitised “wraps”.
Engaged directly with Bendigo Bank, in the sale of their Captive LMI business to Radian.
Westpac Lenders Mortgage Insurance. Primary focus was a diligence review and restructure
of their internal credit documentation and policy library including the Master Policy and Credit
Underwriting Policy.

Reported directly to the Global Group General Manager, responsible for over 50
geographically remote national staff, within 5 operational business units, comprising Credit,
Underwriting, Claims /Recovery, Administration, Quality Assurance/Validation – retail and
statutory. Specific responsibilities included;

Design and implementation of all LMI credit product parameters and initiated “On
site” underwriting teams and platforms.
Electronic capture of data feed “live” for policy records and single history capability.
