INTRODUCTION
It has been observed that most of them, who don't have parents, are attention seekers. It's okay for them to
talk to their classmates, but sometimes they lose their way and their attitude changes because there is no one
to guide or take care of them. And the others who do not have their parents with them and are short on
finances are getting absent to work so that they can have food and pocket money. At a young age, they
learned to stand
1
2. The effect of this on me is that I lose myself. I learned to stand on my own two feet because I learned to be alone. Since I was young, I learned to
answer my grandparents because I never once felt the advice of my mother/father. Even my grandparents can’t listen to their advice because I prefer the
advice of my own mother/father. (Alyzza Joy Baquiran, Grade 10 Student).
Hence, this study will seek to describe and determine the live experiences of Grade 10 students to help the students who have a broken families to be
aware of their situation and how it affects their behavior.
At a young age, they learned to stand on their own two feet because there was no parent to support them. The others are provided with their
needs, but they still rebel because the love they seek from their parents cannot be given by their own parents. "They're okay; actually, they
don't have any problems, but based on my observation, the attitude of my students, even though they look happy, I just feel like their second
parent that they're going through a lot,“
Mrs. Ellaine Malazzab,Grade 10 Adviser.
3. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
Another theory is the attachment theory, which suggests that the quality of relationships between children and their parents plays a crucial role in
their emotional development. This theory argues that children in broken families are more likely to experience attachment difficulties, leading to a
sense of insecurity, mistrust, and fear of abandonment.
Moreover, the family systems theory emphasizes the interconnectedness of family members and the importance of maintaining balance and stability
within the system. In a broken family, the loss of one member can create a ripple effect, affecting the entire family's dynamics.
Overall, the theories of a broken family can help us better understand the effects of family breakdown on individual members and the family as a
whole. It can also provide insights into strategies for promoting healing and preventing further breakdown.
