EDUCATION
The College of Wooster, Wooster, OH
B.A. Theatre/Dance, anticipated May 2017
GPA: 3.3
Honors: Merit-based scholarship, Dean's List
Senior Independent Study/Thesis: Relying primarily upon Konstantin Stanislavski’s theories
of acting, the study builds upon these and other preexisting theatrical methods to advocate
various strategies actors can use to accurately and ethically approach portraying a character with
a psychological disorder the actor has not experienced firsthand. Year-long research with an oral
defense, to be presented at The College of Wooster I-Seminar Sessions, March 2017.
Junior Independent Study/Thesis: 25-page semester-long written study examining three plays
which focus on first-generation college student protagonists. Text analysis excavates
psychological effects of higher education and relocation and draws a parallel from these effects
to those of the gentrification of historically impoverished neighborhoods.
