CONCLUSION: In gastric surgery , recommendations or the extensivness of
lymphadenectomy differ between European and Eastern countries esp. Japan. The
latest randomized European trials whihc examined this issue are the MRC and DGCG
conclusion : D1 lymphadenectomy safest option.
In Japan,D2 lymphadenectomy is the golden procedure when it is possible to
achieve curative resection with greater locoregional control of the disease and
demonstrates a lower incidence of local recurrence of the disease.
