4. To The Philippines
Link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/to-the-
philippines/x/18173327#/
Focus: Re-build houses and give the people affected by the
typhoon drinking water and supplies
Funding Goal: $6,000
Actual Achieved: $175 USD
Type of Entrepreneurship: Environmental
5. Rewards I liked and disliked:
$10 USD
Three Pictures
The entire trip I'll be taking pictures. And when I arrive back I will send three pictures with descriptions!!
- I like this because the pictures could serve as souvenirs and a reminder that you have helped the people
$500 USD
ULTIMATE combo pack
You will receive a T-shirt, ALL the pictures from the trip in video format, and a personal video shout out from the kids
and I in the Philippines on our adventure on your own hard copy disc.
-This seemed to be too expensive. As a rewards crowdfunding, it is better to have inexpensive rewards and give more
people than expensive and lesser people can afford it.
6. To the Philippines’ video:
• It only showed the girl talking for the whole video
• It does not show much of the actual help they will render
to the people
• Video was not engaging enough
• It did not hit me straight to the heart
7. Reason why To The Philippines failed:
The video did not show any interaction of the person in
the video talking to the Filipinos. And as a person who
would like to give help, an actual interaction between
them and the Filipinos would make it more legit and
encouraging.
9. LifeStraws for Philippines
Link: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lifestraws-for-
philippines/x/18173327#/
Focus: Sending filtration straws to families affected by the
typhoon to give them access to clean water
Fund Goal: $5,500
Goal Achieved: $5,625 USD
Type of Entrepreneurship: Environmental
10. Rewards I liked:
• $100 USD
• Here's a LifeStraw
• You're the best! Thank you so much! One step closer. Shout out on Twitter
and Facebook, a thank you card from our team, a picture of the family you
helped, AND a personal LifeStraw.
- I like this reward because the person who helped can get an actual LifeStraw.
This is their most claimed reward as well.
11. LifeStraws for Philippines’ video:
• The video started with pictures of water full of trash with
people living beside it and some were swimming on it
• There has a narration in the video
• The content is great
12. Reason why the LifeStraws for the
Philippines succeeded:
• The narration is great and it clearly states the purpose of
the project
• The rewards are also great and they are what the people
who would like to help the project needed
