We have received tremendous feedback and inspiring award applications for the Car HMI award. Presented by we.CONECT the award evening took place on Monday, April 29, 2019. The Car HMI USA award exclusively honors exceptional projects in the category “Most Innovative HMI Feature”. Proud winner of the Car HMI Award 2019 was Telenav and their VIVID solution. The feature is a cloud-first infotainment system that seamlessly integrates the best internet-based entertainment services and content with native vehicle functions into a delightful, safe, user experience.

Detroit, April 29, 2019: The Car HMI USA took place for the 5th
time on April 29-30, 2019 and
presented a fully packed agenda comprising icebreaker roundtable discussions, case
studies, streams, interactive World Café and Challenge Your Peers sessions, Auto Scale
start-up lounge, a morning workshop as well as the launch of the Car HMI Award. The event
is North America’s leading knowledge exchange platform bringing together 150+
stakeholders leading the technical and design future of automotive HMIs and UX.
This year we’ve taken the opportunity to launch the Car HMI USA award, which puts the

UI and HMI. We have received tremendous feedback and inspiring award applications for the
Car HMI award. Presented by we.CONECT the award evening took place on Monday, April
29, 2019.
The Car HMI USA award exclusively honors exceptional projects in the category “Most
Innovative HMI Feature”.
Each of the nominees presented their HMI solution via a short video. Via live-voting, the
attendees of the award dinner had then to choose their favorite project showing outstanding
effort in taking user interaction and UX to the next level.
Proud winner of the Car HMI Award 2019 was Telenav and their VIVID solution. The feature
is a cloud-first infotainment system that seamlessly integrates the best internet-based
entertainment services and content with native vehicle functions into a delightful, safe, user
experience.
Runner-up in the same category was Rightware with their project Kanzi® for Android™’,
which gives automakers the freedom to design and deliver a branded visual identity in the
Telenav won this year’s Car HMI
USA Award.

2. automotive UI while integrating third-party services and app ecosystems, including Android.
Greater Than’s ‘Enerfy AI Car Insurance solution’ came in third.
All Car HMI award winners received an exclusive trophy and certificate as recognition for
their outstanding performance. In addition we.CONECT also donated 1,000 $ on behalf of
the winners to support a charity project. This year we selected the Art & Scraps organization
in Detroit.

Founded in 2013 in Berlin, Car HMI quickly established itself as Europe’s leading conference
